Anmore Torch Relay a HUGE Success
OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY EVENTS OF FEBURARY 11, 2010
The Village of Anmore invites you to share your photos from the Anmore Olympic Torch Relay events of Thursday, February 11th, 2010.
Photos can be sent via email to village.hall@anmore.com and will be posted to their website as time permits.

Yesterday was a fabulous morning. It was magical seeing all of the lights up and down Sunnyside Road, and our grandson will always remember the morning he got up in the dark to watch the Olympic torch go by his house. I have never seen so many people involved in a community event. Thanks to Councilor Kerri Issak, the Fire Department, the Youth Committee and all of the volunteers for a great breakfast and an incredible once-in-a-lifetime event.

I also want to say a huge Thank You to all the volunteers that made the torch relay such an event. We even had a friend come from Vancouver to see the torch in our community. It showed to me that no matter what else is going on we citizens can come together to make something positive happen.
Let’s get back to that way of thinking here in Anmore.
