Reminder: Only two days left to get your name in for the upcoming Fall by-election. End of day tomorrow is the deadline.

If you are interested in running for Anmore council:

The nominating period for the upcoming Fall by-election is August 7^th to the 17^th.  That is when nominations can be made and the papers submitted to the Village Hall.  The advance poll will be September 12^th and the election is September 22nd.

Nomination documents are available for pick-up at the Village Hall Monday to Friday
excluding Statutory Holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE
A person is qualified to be nominated, elected and to hold office as a member of local
government if they meet the following criteria:
• 18 years of age or older on general voting day for the election;
• Canadian Citizen;
• A resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the day nomination
papers are filed; and
• Not disqualified by the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an
election in British Columbia or from being nominated for, being elected to, or holding office.
